No approach to Albion for Saido Berahino
West Brom boss Alan Irvine insists the club have had no enquiries about top-scorer Saido Berahino despite continued speculation over a possible January bid.
Berahino has been linked continually with Tottenham and Liverpool despite his form tailing off, leading to him being on the bench for the last three games.
His eight goals earlier in the season led to a call-up to the full England squad and fuelled talk of a January move.
But Irvine insisted: "At the moment, it's certainly only speculation. We have had no enquiries whatsoever. Where the stories have come from I'm not quite sure.
"January will reveal what is going to happen. We may well get some offers for Saido and, if we do, the club will deal with them.
"The chairman has aleady said he doesn't want to sell Saido in January, so I'm guessing nothing has changed as far as that is concerned."
Berahino could return to the starting line-up against Manchester City on Boxing Day, but fellow striker Victor Anichebe will be missing with his continuing groin injury.
Graham Dorrans (calf) and goalkeeper Boaz Myhill (illness) missed training today, but both are expected to be available.
Chris Brunt is back after a hamstring problem, as is Georgios Samaras following his return to Greece because of a family matter.
