Steve Clarke still has role for Markus Rosenberg at West Brom
Boss Steve Clarke today refused to write off Markus Rosenberg's Albion career despite the Baggies' deadline-day business raising questions over his future.
The arrival of Stephane Sessegnon and Victor Anichebe and the emergence of Saido Berahino have pushed Rosenberg back down the pecking order at The Hawthorns.
And, with loan signing Matej Vydra due back from injury, Rosenberg could struggle to find a role in the Baggies' matchday squad.
But head coach Clarke insisted the 30-year-old has a chance to force his way into the team. "He is part of the squad and he trains well every day," said Clarke.
"He works hard, he's a top professional and, if he gets his chance, he has to be ready."
Meanwhile, Clarke insisted loan recruit Scott Sinclair is ready to make an impact despite his lack of first-team action at Manchester City before his move to the Midlands.
"He'll have to sit some games out but he will make his contribution, there's no doubt," he said.
