West Brom 3 Atromitos 1 - match report
Nicolas Anelka and Markus Rosenberg scored again as Albion battled back from 1-0 down to beat Atromitos at Shrewsbury's Greenhous Meadow.
Both strikers took their pre-season tally to three while teenage forward Saido Berahino capped a lively performance with the Baggies' second goal.
Steve Clarke's side had been a goal down at half-time through Dimitrios Papadopoulos's 11th-minute strike for the Greek top-flight outfit.
Albion should have been ahead on 11 minutes when Shane Long collected a terrible backpass and found himself with a clear sight of goal, but his shot was blocked by keeper Luigi Cennamo.
And that save sparked the counter attack that brought the Atromitos opener as the Greek side found Karagounis in the middle and he burst away before beating Boaz Myhill with a low shot.
Saido Berahino produced a fine turn in the Atromitos box but saw his powerful shot beaten away by Cennamo.
Berahino then helped tee up Markus Rosenberg for a half-chance but Cennamo gathered at the Swede's feet.
Eight minutes from the end of the first half, Shane Long sent a difficult shot over the crossbar and the Greeks then felt they should have had a penalty when Myhill appeared to clatter Dimitrios Papadopoulos as he attempted to collect Billy Jones' under-hit backpass.
But referee Stuart Attwell dismissed their appeals.
Albion levelled 10 minutes into the second half with an excellent team goal finished by Anelka.
The Frenchman arrived at the perfect time to head home from eight yards after a good pass by James Morrison and an even better cross by Billy Jones.
Berahino almost bagged a spectacular second for the Baggies when he side-stepped a defender and curled a shot against the crossbar.
And he set up Anelka for a shot that was turned around the post by substitute keeper Michael Sifakis.
But Berahino got his goal on 75 minutes with his final touch before being substituted, getting ahead of Sifakis to turn home Rosenberg's cross-shot at the near post.
And with three minutes remaining Rosenberg added Albion's third with a 20-yard effort that took a huge deflection and looped over the keeper.
