West Brom favourite Romelu Lukaku today urged fellow striker Dieumerci Mbokani to consider a move to the Hawthorns.

The Baggies are keeping tabs on the 27-year-old Anderlecht forward as they weigh up their transfer options for next season.

And Lukaku believes The Hawthorns would be a perfect destination for the DR Congo international, who seems certain to leave the Belgium champions and is interested in a move to the Premier League.

Lukaku told the Belgian media: "Dieu has won titles in Belgium, now it's time for something else. West Brom is a good club. They can offer him new challenge.

"It is sometimes said that Dieu must be 'accompanied' but guidance is offered at West Brom by good people."

West Brom have Mbokani on their list of potential summer targets, although they are not thought to have opened talks yet with Anderlecht, with Dynamo Kiev already said to have spoken with the player's representatives.

The Brussels club, who also launched Lukaku's professional career, have spoken about a potential £8million asking price for the 6ft 1in targetman.

But that figure is expected to drop during the summer transfer window, potentially bringing the Baggies into the frame.

Mbokani is set to hold talks with Kiev but he has previously expressed a preference for a move to England.

He said: "I am very happy to leave the club on a good note, now I need to think about my next move. England would be my first choice, but Italy also."

Meanwhile, Lukaku has again admitted his future is in Chelsea's hands as West Brom wait to learn if the 20-year-old will be loaned out again.

Lukaku, who hit 17 goals for Albion on loan last season, said: "There is a lot of interest, but nothing is decided.

"I will not close any doors. It depends on the decision of Jose Mourinho at Chelsea if he signs s manager. I think I will go on pre-season with Chelsea."
