Kidderminster Harriers winger David Hankin has vowed to get better next season after an off-key second half to his first season at Aggborough.

The club's focus has turned to next season after failing to make the Blue Square Premier play-offs and Hankin is part of those plans, as he is midway into a two-year contract.

But the campaign ended on a sour note for the 25-year-old wide man as he drifted in and out of the team, not appearing his usual self after a hip injury.

Hankin now has the summer to rest up and pre-season to get himself fit, after vowing he will be firing on all cylinders in 2011-12.

He said: "The latter half of the season was disappointing because it was one thing or another with my injury and everything else.

"I found myself out of the squad a few times but I am looking forward to coming back for pre-season and working hard to get back in.

"I am happy I've had a chance at the full-time game and I am sure next year I can show what I can do."
