Oisin McEntee fires Walsall warning
Walsall midfielder Oisin McEntee has insisted Saddlers must be prepared for their opponents to see them as ‘their cup final’ this season.
Speaking after the 3-0 defeat to play-off chasers Bradford City, the Irish midfielder admitted his side were not at their best in West Yorkshire.
The result saw Walsall’s hopes of achieving ten consecutive wins in League Two end, but the 23-year-old is hopeful another run can begin tomorrow against Fleetwood Town.
“This is what is going to happen when you’re winning games; you become the team to beat, and you become everyone’s cup final,” McEntee said. “We know our opponents and their fans are always going to be up for their games against us, but we know how to deal with that and still play our own game.”
