Key Walsall man primed for lead role
Walsall boss Mat Sadler expects Ryan Stirk to “lead by example” in the absence of the injured Brandon Comley.
Comley is expected to miss at least the first three weeks of the new campaign after suffering a fractured leg in Walsall’s second pre-season friendly against Villa.
Stirk, who arrived from Birmingham City last summer, scored three goals and set-up five more in 37 league appearances during his debut season.
