Walsall boss Mat Sadler hopeful on returning Evan Weir
Walsall boss Mat Sadler has been told Evan Weir’s foot injury is “not too serious” as he expects the young defender to join up with the squad for pre-season as planned.
Weir suffered a cut in his foot that need stitches during Drogheda United’s 2-2 draw against Derry City on April 13.
The 22-year-old, who has scored four goals in 11 appearances this term, missed Drogheda’s 1-0 defeat at Bohemians last Friday.
