Walsall getting 'close' insists Mat Sadler after Shrewsbury defeat
Mat Sadler was disappointed with the goals that Walsall conceded in their 3-2 defeat against Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy.
The Saddlers generated 25 shots and hit eight on target with Danny Johnson and Isaac Hutchinson finding the net.
However, Shrewsbury were the more clinical of the two sides, and recovered from an early setback to take charge in the contest courtesy of goals from Daniel Udoh, Mal Benning and Ryan Bowman.
While Sadler was impressed by the attacking pressure that his team applied, he insists that Walsall's focus must be on keeping the scores down in games.
