Mat Sadler confident Isaac Hutchinson will prove a threat for Walsall
Walsall head coach Mat Sadler insists Isaac Hutchinson could have finished the evening with a hat-trick during the 1-1 draw against Rochdale on Friday.
Hutchinson levelled from 25 yards with a stunning strike into the top corner just 14 minutes from time.
The 23-year-old had two more opportunities but was masterfully foiled on both occasions by Rochdale goalkeeper Louie Moulden.
After notching his second goal of pre-season, Sadler is confident Hutchinson will be a serious attacking outlet this term.
Sadler said: “Isaac could’ve easily had three, but the positive for me is he keeps creating those opportunities.
“He keeps finding time and space in the box, and keeps providing us with a real positive attacking outlet.”
Rochdale flew out of the traps and took the lead on 27 minutes courtesy of a long-range drive by Devante Rodney.
