Franks Vincent loan cut short by Walsall
Walsall have cut short the loan of Bournemouth midfielder Frank Vincent.
The 21-year-old has returned to the south coast after the Saddlers took the decision to end his stay with three matches of the season still remaining.
Vincent had made eight appearances since joining from the Cherries in January but not featured since the 0-0 draw at Southend on March 23. He had also failed to make either of the last two matchday squads.
Though Vincent’s early exit is unsurprising, his departure is unlikely to be the last of what promises to be a hugely important period for Walsall.
Head coach Brian Dutton this week predicted a busy summer as the club overhauls a squad which has struggled in the lower half of League Two this season.
Dutton’s own fate is the biggest question to be answered. The 36-year-old was placed in charge until the end of the season following Darrell Clarke’s move to Port Vale in February and is yet to learn whether he will be given the job full-time.
