Walsall face a congested fixture list for the next six weeks after a second consecutive game was called off for a waterlogged pitch.

The Saddlers' trip to Southend United on Saturday was postponed after a period of poor weather in the days leading up to the match

That came after the club's home game to Mansfield the previous Saturday was called off for the same reason.

The clash with the Stags has been rescheduled for tomorrow night and as Walsall and Southend now look to rearrange their game, the Saddlers are facing a packed fixture list until late March.

Following Walsall's game with Cheltenham on February 13, they do not play again until February 20. That week is the only week that Darrell Clarke's team does not have an evening game between now and the week beginning March 22.

The Southend game is likely to be arranged for Tuesday February 16, meaning Walsall will face six weeks of back-to-back Saturday and Tuesday games.

Including tomorrow's game, they will play 12 games in this short period of time.
