The all-action midfielder has been in superb form this season, leading the team’s high press with energetic performances in the middle of the park.

This year he has become one of the first names on the team sheet for manager Darrell Clarke, featuring in every League Two game.

Clarke has previously praised Kinsella’s mentality and the 24-year-old believes his experience is now adding up.

“A few years ago when I didn’t have that many games under my belt and I was a little bit younger, I felt like I couldn’t (be a voice for the team).

“But now I’ve got all the games under my belt and I’m getting older, I feel I can be a voice on the pitch.”

Although he’s still in his early 20s, Kinsella has a wealth of experience having made his Walsall debut in League One in 2014. He has regularly played alongside 19-year-old Alfie Bates this season and the academy product hopes to help him develop.

“Twenty-four isn’t too old just yet but I feel like I can lead by example,” he added. “Talk on the pitch and try and help the players around me. Hopefully I can continue that.”
