Darrell Clarke: Stuart Sinclair is a big player for Walsall
Walsall manager Darrell Clarke insists ‘big player’ Stuart Sinclair will be pivotal for his side as the hectic schedule continues.
After picking up an injury in pre-season and missing the start of the campaign, Sinclair has been fighting for fitness ever since.
The 32-year-old has made three League Two starts this season but is yet to get 90 minutes under his belt. However, Clarke is adamant he will feature more as his fitness levels improve.
“We’ve had to be a little bit more patient with Stuart Sinclair and to be fair to Liam Kinsella he’s been playing very well,” Clarke said.
“I know I paired them up against Forest Green but they’re very much a like-for-like. They’ll be times when Liam needs a bit of a breather and rest and Sinclair has worked really hard to get his fitness levels up.
“He’s a big player for us and is getting fitter by the day and quicker and sharper.
“I imagine you’ll see Stuart Sinclair playing more minutes as we go along.”
