Liam Roberts - 7

Made a handful of excellent stops in the first half and was unlucky for Barrow’s two goals.

Cameron Norman - 5

A poor penalty to give away and he looked uncharacteristically shaky throughout.

James Clarke - 6

Unfortunate to pick up an injury in the first half but looked comfortable for his short stint on the field.

Dan Scarr - 7

Scarr looked more comfortable in a back four rather than a back five. He won plenty of balls in the air.

Zak Jules - 6

Similar to Scarr, he suited a back four more, he looked slightly uncomfortable in the left of a back three. Jules needs to return to his impressive form at the beginning of the season.

George Nurse - 6

Nurse didn’t get forward as much as he would have liked but defended reasonably well against a tricky winger.

Liam Kinsella - 6

He looked slightly overran in the first half but improved in the second. Kinsella is probably one of the best ball winning midfielders in the league.

Alfie Bates - 6

Bates was eager to get on the ball and showed for it regularly. Danny Guthrie did improve the midfield when he came on, however. Bates is still learning and will improve.

Emmanuel Osadebe - 8

Osadebe had probably his best 90 minutes in a Walsall shirt. He looked lively and was unlucky not to score.

Elijah Adebayo - 7

Another hard-working performance but he was unable to get a foothold on the ball and have a clear sight of goal.

Caolan Lavery - 8

He took his two goals well and he looked bright throughout. Lavery needed those two strikes to add to his tally. He took his penalty well and was in the right place at the right time for his first half strike.
