Walsall winger Wes McDonald up for January goal of the month
Walsall winger Wes McDonald has been nominated for goal of the month for January.
The 22-year-old is in contention after his stunning strike in the 2-1 win at home to Crawley on January 18.
With the score at 1-1, McDonald turned inside with the ball from the left flank and curled a looping effort over the Crawley goalkeeper. The ball clipped the underside of the bar as it nestled into the top corner.
He has been nominated alongside Callum Harriott of Colchester United for his strike against Macclesfield, and Arthur Gnahoua of Macclesfield Town for his 30-yard volley against Forest Green Rovers.
Voting is currently open here and ends at 5.30pm tomorrow.
The winner will be announced on Friday.
