Walsall boss Darrell Clarke: Josh March won't be joining the club
Walsall manager Darrell Clarke has confirmed the club won't be signing Leamington forward Josh March despite the club having a bid accepted for him.
The Saddlers are believed to be one of several clubs, including Forest Green Rovers, that have had a bid agreed with the Warwickshire club.
It's expected that a deal could be completed by Monday with Rovers front-runners for his signature, but Clarke has confirmed he won't be joining the Saddlers.
"He won't be signing for us," he said.
"I've heard a lot of things in this game but what I will say is that I do my business quietly.
"It's the way I work.
"So I can tell you Josh March won't be signing for us, it's as simple as that.
The National League North club released a statement on their website and Twitter, it said: "Leamington FC can confirm that they have accepted an offer for the transfer of Josh March from an English Football League club.
"Subject to the necessary paperwork being completed it is envisaged the transfer should be completed on Monday January 6."
