The attacking midfielder was snapped by the Saddlers on a six-month deal that includes the option of a further year at the start of January.

Mussa, who plays for Belgium’s under-18s side, penned his deal at the Banks’s Stadium after impressing while on trial at the club.

And he has gone onto enjoy a whirlwind few weeks with the youngster making his debut against Scunthorpe on January 12.

As well as that cameo, Mussa has regularly travelled with the squad on away days.

And with the likes of Morgan Ferrier and Zeli Ismail taking him under their wing, he admits he is loving his time with the club.

“It’s been amazing here since day one,” the 18-year-old. “It’s a great group to be a part of and everyone has welcomed me in.

“Morgan Ferrier and Zeli Ismail have really helped me. They are like my big brothers. That is how I see them.

“And in training, the coaches have been great with me. They are are happy to stop things to make sure I understand them. I’m really enjoying myself and feel I have settled really well.”

Mussa got his first glimpse of English football when he travelled with Walsall’s squad for the FA Cup clash at Bolton.

And after being wowed by Saddlers fans, he ia now desperate to get onto the field and have them cheering him on.

“I was really happy to travel to the match against Bolton – it was the first English football game I had seen,” the midfielder continued.

“The experience was amazing, from the warm-up to the game, everything about it was amazing.

“It was great for me to travel with the team and see how it all works. I have waited a long time for that moment.

“The fans were incredible that day and they have been great with me.

“They have a lot of love they want to share with you. If I can now get out on the pitch and do something for them it will be great.

“To be get on the pitch and hear them cheering for me, that is the best feeling you can get. I just need to work hard and develop.

“I’m going to do my best and wait for my opportunity. Then I have to take it.”
