Kieron Morris leaves Walsall for Tranmere
Kieron Morris' seven year stay with Walsall has seemingly come to an end after the winger joined Tranmere Rovers on loan.
The 24-year-old was snapped up by the Saddlers as a teenager back in 2012 and went on to score 20 goals in 171 appearances for the club.
Morris has been a regular over the past few years but has found playing time harder to come by this season.
He has started 17 games and featured 26 times under Dean Keates during the 2018/19 campaign.
But despite having scored five goals – a career best – he has often had to play second-fiddle to other forward players in the squad.
Earlier today, the Express & Star revealed Tranmere were interested is taking the winger to Prenton Park.
And Morris has now completed a loan move to the League Two side until the end of the season.
That means the winger is likely to have played his last game for the Saddlers – with the 24-year-old out of contract in the summer.
A statement released by Walsall said: “Walsall FC can confirm that winger Kieron Morris has joined League Two side Tranmere Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
“The 24-year-old has scored 20 goals in 171 appearances for the Saddlers since progressing through the club’s academy and signing his first professional contract in 2012.
“He has featured 26 times in all competitions this season, netting five goals.
“We would like to wish Kieron the very best of luck at Prenton Park and thank him for his efforts during his time with the Saddlers.”
