Shaun Donnellan, right, was on loan at Walsall with Tyler Roberts this season.

The 21-year-old centre-back, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Walsall, has joined the Glovers on a free transfer and signed a one-and-a-half year contract.

Yeovil manager Darren Way said: "Coming down from a division higher and with his international experience, Shaun is a fantastic addition to the squad and has a bright future.

"He's been playing with former Glover Joe Edwards so he'll have heard good things about the club and I look forward to working with him."

Donnellan rose through the Albion academy and signed his first professional contract in 2015.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international went out on loan to Worcester City and Dagenham & Redbridge in non-league before this season's stint at the Banks's Stadium.

But he's been allowed to leave the Baggies for pastures new.
