And Ian Astbury, a Walsall Supporters’ Trust board member, said: it was important fans went along. “As a trust, we are encouraging people to attend this meeting.” “It’s an opportunity to ask questions both to the manager and to Stefan and Dan who are on the board.

“Questions can be asked on the night but people can also email questions to the trust which will also be looked at by Jeff Bonser if Stefan and Dan don’t feel they can answer them.

“The trust still backs the protest due to take place on Saturday.

“But this meeting is an opportunity to question key personal at the club.”

The meeting will take place at the Banks’s Stadium from 6.30pm.A statement released by Walsall Football Club said: “The club is keen to provide this opportunity for supporters to put their questions about the club and its operations directly to key members of staff – and of course all fans are welcome to attend.”
