The fans meeting will take place at 6.30pm in the Savoy and Mayfair Lounges at the Banks’s Stadium.

This comes after the Walsall Supporters Trust urged fans to back a protest due to take place next week over concerns about how the club is being run.

In a statement issued online by the club, they announced the meeting as a chance for the club to communicate with their following.

"Walsall Football Club will be holding a Fans Focus meeting next Thursday, January 11th, from 6:30pm onwards." read the statement

"The club is keen to provide this opportunity for supporters to put their questions about the club and its operations directly to key members of staff - and of course all fans are welcome to attend.

"Directors Stefan Gamble and Daniel Mole will also be joined by team manager Jon Whitney to answer supporter questions."

Since the Saddlers’ New Year’s Day loss at Plymouth, momentum has gathered on social media to stage a protest during the game against Oxford on January 13.

A vocal section of the club’s fan base has grown frustrated with how boss Jon Whitney is managing the team. And they have also expressed concerns about the overall ambition of the club.
