Walsall launch home and away kits for 2017/18 season
Walsall have put their home and away kits for the 2017/18 season on sale today after releasing the new designs.
Both shirts are available to buy online now and will be on sale in the club shop at the Banks’s Stadium from 9am tomorrow morning (Thursday, June 8).
The club shop is also opening between 10am and 2pm on Saturday so that fans can purchase their replica strips at the weekend.
Adult shirts retail from £39.99 to £44.99, shorts for £14.99 and socks (7-11) at £8.99. Junior shirts will be available from £27.99, shorts £10.99 and socks (12-2 and 2-6) for £6.99.
The kit is the first one produced by Errea, who signed a three-year deal with the Saddlers last week after Walsall ditched previous manufacturers Carbrini.
Carbrini irritated supporters when they failed to provide last season’s shirt before the campaign started.
Errea, who designed the shirt alongside the club, have shelved Carbrini’s checked outfit for a simple red home shirt with black and white trim. The away kit is black with red trim.
“As well as the home and away kit, we are really pleased with the training wear Errea have provided,” said commercial manager Wayne Thomas. “It’s a very stylish brand that we feel the fans will enjoy.
“We’re really pleased to be launching the new kits so soon after announcing a three-year deal with Errea and a five-year partnership with HomeServe.
“The club continues to go from strength-to-strength off the field and we hope we can translate that on to the pitch next season.”
The shirt will still have the HomeServe logo on the front, after the Walsall-based home assistance provider signed a new five-year principal partnership last month. It would take their relationship with the Saddlers to eight years.
“The new kits look fantastic,” said HomeServe Brand Director, John Greaves. “As the largest employer in Walsall and committed supporters of our local community, we’re proud to support our home town club.
“Many of our people are Saddlers through and through, and we’re looking forward to seeing all the loyal fans wearing the new kit this season."
The new shirts mix two types of fabric. The main fabric is a polyester microfibre with a soft feel inside.
The exterior has micro-perforations which allow moisture to exit and air to enter, while the side panels are made from a breathable mesh which helps manage body temperature.
