Walsall and West Brom to meet in pre-season
Walsall have confirmed they will host Albion in a pre-season friendly.
The Baggies will make the short trip to the Banks’s Stadium on Wednesday, July 26, with the game kicking off at 7.45pm.
It will be the first time the Black Country rivals have met in pre-season since 2015, when goals from Saido Berahino and Brown Ideye earned Albion a 2-0 victory.
The fixture is the latest to be announced by the Saddlers, who will also host Villa on Tuesday July 18 (7.45pm kick-off).
Jon Whitney’s men also have trips to Solihull Moors (Saturday, July 15), Stafford Rangers (Wednesday, July 19) and Rushall Olympic (Tuesday, August 1) lined up.
Albion, meanwhile, have announced they will send a team to face Championship side Burton on the same night they face the Saddlers (July 26).
