The Saddlers and their main sponsors, Homeserve, are hunting a venue for next month's launch and asking parents to tell them why their child's school should host it.

And, as an added bonus, a selection of Walsall stars will host a one-off training session with pupils at the winning school.

John Greaves, global brand director at HomeServe, said: "We love supporting our local community and our partnership with Walsall FC is a big part of that.

"It's fantastic that this unique experience is on offer to so many young Walsall FC fans across the region", said John Greaves, global brand director at HomeServe.

"Training with the Walsall FC players and staff, and seeing the kit before anyone else, is a very special opportunity.

"Unfortunately only one school can win. However, we hope to give one lucky group of schoolchildren some memories to last a lifetime."

Walsall chief executive Stefan Gamble said: "We are delighted to support HomeServe with this initiative as part of our official kit launch.

"This is a great opportunity to bring the club, our official sponsor and the community closer together.

"The kit reveal is always an eagerly anticipated and exciting event as we approach a new season.

"The club has a reputation for having close ties with the local community and this reinforces that relationship with the next generation of Walsall supporters.

"We would like to thank HomeServe once again for their fantastic support and hopefully this is just one of many initiatives we will run throughout the season."

To enter the competition (which is open now until midnight on June 23), parents should visit HomeServe's Facebook page.

They can log on at https://www.facebook.com/HomeserveUK/ and tell them why their child's school deserves a visit from the Saddlers. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.
