The 35-year-old, whose previous deal expired in the summer, has been in inspirational form for the Saddlers throughout the 2015/16 campaign.
Yesterday the defensive midfielder was crowned Player of the Season and Players' Player of the Season at the club's annual end of season awards.
The former Albion man has missed just one game for the Saddlers this term and in total has made 235 competitive appearances for the club since joining from Leyton Orient in July 2011.
"I'm very happy to have sorted my contract out now," Chambers said.
"Going into the play-offs, it means I can fully concentrate on that and look forward to some big games.
"I feel I'm still contributing and I've always said that as long as I feel I'm still contributing then I'll still play.
"I'm very happy here and there are some really good people in and around the club. It's been a pleasure to play for Walsall and I've made some really good friends during my time here.
"The environment that has been created over the last few years has made it a joy to work here."
