Sean O'Driscoll sees harmony at Walsall

Boss Sean O'Driscoll insists he won't upset the harmony in Walsall's dressing room just to make signings this January.

The head coach, who celebrates a month in charge on Monday, has identified a couple of players he'd be interested in snapping up during the transfer window.

But O'Driscoll believes any player that comes in must be able to fit in with the tight-knit nature of the Saddlers squad.

He said: "We have got a really close-knit squad so it's a case of trying to bring the right people in while working within the financial constraints that every club has to work in.

"Things are ongoing. We have toiled with one or two things, it's difficult because if you bring somebody in, somebody else will probably be bumped out of the 18.

"We have to think if that is something we want do, because everyone here is playing their part.

"I've told them they will continue to play their part so bringing in three or four players would be completely opposite to that. We'd like to add but we're not constrained to the window.

"We haven't got this frenzy of having to get everything done in January because we have the Emergency Loan Window.

O'Driscoll believes the team spirit he has inherited at Walsall is rare.

He said: "You don't see it often. It's grown over time, because a lot of them have been together over two or three seasons."
