Liam Roberts hails Walsall FC goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler
Liam Roberts today hailed the impact of goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler after signing a new deal at Walsall.
The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a new contract which extends the six-month deal he signed in the summer until the end of the season.
Roberts is yet to make a senior appearance for the club but is highly-rated and has impressed Saddlers coaches enough for them to offer him the fresh terms.
And he says much of his improvement can be put down to Cutler, who was appointed the club's goalkeeping coach over earlier this summer.
"A lot of my improvement is down to the work I have been doing with Neil," he said.
"There is a whole different tempo in the first team compared to what I was used to in the youth team but Neil is a great coach and has really helped me make the transition. We have a Goalkeepers' Union here with Richard O'Donnell and Shane Lewis where we help and support each other as much as we can.
"At the end of the day we are all after the same goals and we have built up a really good working relationship."
"In fact, the spirit throughout the squad is excellent."
