Kidderminster Harriers today stayed alive in the Blue Square Premier play-off race after their fans rejoiced Luton dropping the ball at Gateshead.

The Hatters' draw last night ensured Harriers' fight for a top five finish will go to their final game of the season, at home to Mansfield on Saturday.

Back in the Harriers Arms at Aggbrough, chairman Mark Serrell celebrated with supporters after full-time for Luton, which was live on Premier Sports.

Luton will take the last play-off spot if they win at Fleetwood on Saturday and a draw may be enough, as they have a better goal difference of 12.

Harriers simply must beat the Stags at Mansfield on Saturday, after relinquishing fifth place with defeat at Luton last weekend.

He said: "The team put in a fantastic effort at Luton and so did the supporters and we were all disappointed to lose on the day.

"But the simple fact is that we have done absolutely fantastically well, so far, this season.

"To be playing on the final weekend and to still have a chance is a huge achievement in itself.

"It would be great to see as many fans coming to Aggborough at the weekend as possible.

"The players will need all the support and backing they can get and every voice will make a difference.

"Let's give it one last push."
