Darren Wrack today warned Walsall's new-boys they must make a big impact to prove they are the real deal.
Manager Dean Smith has signed Ryan Jarvis, Claude Gnakpa, Mat Sadler and Kevan Hurst so far.
Jarvis and Sadler have Premier League experience, while Hurst has cost £300,000 in his career and winger Gnakpa bagged 15 goals for Luton in the Blue Square Premier last term.
But former Saddler Wrack insisted the quartet must prove themselves if they are going to be accepted.
He said: "Wherever you go you'll always have something to prove to yourself and the supporters.
"It's your place in the team at stake and if you don't have the hunger then you'll soon be found out."
