FA Trophy: Stourbridge 0 Stamford 3 - Report
Stourbridge were well beaten by an impressive Stamford side to go out of the FA Trophy.
The Lincolnshire outfit looked the much better of the two teams from the off, despite their lower status
They caused the Stourbridge defence lots of problems from the start and took the lead on six minutes through Tom Simmonds who applied a neat finish from the edge of the area after good build up play.
A half volley by Tendai Chitiza made it two and it was he who was brought down for the penalty late on which Tim Simmonds converted to make it three
Stiurbridge's only real chance came in the first half when Alex Nicholls blazed over. Captain Brad Birch was sent off in the second eriod for a reckless challenge on Chitiza.
