Chay Tilt stepped up to net from 12 yards in second half injury time as the Glassboys earned a 1-1 draw to put Saturday’s 6-1 thumping by Peterborough Sports behind them.

The visitors opened the scoring after 23 minutes when Jac Redhead made the most of a mix-up to score from outside the area.

Tolani Omotola could have doubled the advantage on the hour but his close-range header was kept out by keeper Charlie Price.

Stour pressed for most of the second half and they got the equaliser they deserved in the dying seconds with Tilt firing in from the penalty spot.

In the Southern Central Premier tonight (7.45pm), Hednesford Town host Nuneaton Borough, while the Northern Premier’s bottom club Stafford Rangers are at home to Buxton.

Chasetown visit Kidsgrove Athletic in Northern One South East, while there is also Staffordshire Senior Cup action involving our sides.

Rushall Olympic host Uttoxeter Town and Walsall Wood travel to Newcastle Town – both matches in the quarter-finals.
