The Evo-Stik Central Premier semi-final had originally been due to happen on Wednesday but was pushed back 24 hours after the other semi-final between King’s Lynn and Stratford Town was delayed while the league investigated claims Stratford have been fielding an illegible player.

It was moved to Monday but the FA then added to the farce by insisting both semi-finals were played this Sunday.

But the Glassboys and Alvechurch made representations for the game to remain on Monday and permission has since been received. King’s Lynn and Stratford have scheduled their clash for Saturday, adding to the chaos.

A Stour statement read: “We would encourage both sets of supporters to concentrate on getting behind their respective teams in a positive manner.”
