Stourbridge 1 Shaw Lane AFC 1 - Report
Stourbridge snapped up a deserved share of the points against third placed Shaw Lane with a spirited display to arrest their alarming slide down the table.
The Glassboys rang the changes following their recent run of poor results but it looked as though they were in for another tough afternoon after Shaw Lane took a third minute lead.
Alex Byrne rifled in a low shot which appeared to deflect past unsighted loanee Wolves goalkeeper Harry Beasley.
Stourbridge struck back to level on 47 minutes when Luke Benbow's cross completely deceived Shaw Lane goalkeeper Eddie Wilczynski and finished up in the back of the net.
Both sides had chances to snatch victory, but it was Stourbridge who finished the stronger, especially after Shaw Lane had central defender Jake Skelton sent off with four minutes remaining.
