Grantham Town 4 Stourbridge 2 - Report
Stourbridge conceded four first half goals during a 4-2 defeat at the hands of promotion chasing Grantham Town.
The Gingerbreads got off to the perfect start taking the lead within 23 minutes with Andrew Wright firing home from the edge of the box.
Gary Hackett’s side were level after 32 minutes thanks to a Tom Potts own goal.
However, his side were level for only eight minutes when Sam Osbourne ran clear down the left before playing into Daniel Meadows whose shot bobbled past the goalkeeper.
It went from bad to worse for the visitors who found themselves 4-1 down at the break with Lee Shaw heading home a minute before half-time and Michael Hollingworth scoring low less than a minute later.
Stour failed to stage a second half come-back with Leon Broadhurst coming closest from the penalty spot but saw his effort saved.
Kyle Perry did have the last say heading home his side’s second in the dying moments.
