The 22-year-old defender joined the Blues in January after impressing during the Glassboys’ run to the FA Cup third round last term – scoring in a 2-1 loss at Wycombe.

He joined Wycombe on loan in August and, having made 13 appearances for Gareth Ainsworth’s side, has impressed enough to see his stay there extended.

The boyhood Blues fan is yet to play a first team game for the St Andrew’s outfit, but he was a regular for their under-23s before joining the Chairboys. “We are delighted to have extended Dan’s loan with us until the end of the season,” said Ainsworth.

“He has proved himself to be an important member of our squad and having him as part of our plans for the second half of the season will give us a big boost for the run-in.

“He’s a player with a lot of ability and a fantastic attitude who has the potential to go on to have a very successful career, and this loan has and will continue to be a great step for him in terms of his development.”
