Stourbridge 0-0 Witton Albion - Report

Returning fan favourite Luke Benbow couldn’t inspire Stourbridge to victory as they held on for a goalless draw against Witton Albion.

The Glassboys, who have re-signed last season’s top scorer Benbow on loan, will be disappointed to miss out on the chance to defeat a fellow play-off hopeful but, in truth, Witton had the better chances.

Stourbridge’s Matt Gould was the far busier goalkeeper, denying Owen Dale in the first half before saving well from a Nick Ryan header in the second period.

The visitors finished strongly but Gould kept out James Foley's close range effort and Dale then fired over the bar as the points were shared.
