Manager Gary Hackett confirmed Stourbridge had agreed a deal for Birmingham City to sign defender Dan Scarr following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Marine.
The 22-year-old is set to agree personal terms on a five-tier jump to the Championship club after saying his goodbyes as the Glassboys completed a routine victory.
“We have agreed terms with Birmingham, now it is up to Dan to finalise his deal,” said Hackett.
“We have accepted we won’t have Dan with us moving forward and good luck to him. He deserves the opportunity.”
Scarr was one of the heroes of the Glassboys' run to the third round of the FA Cup, scoring in their third-round defeat at Wycombe Wanderers.
Asked about the prospect of bringing in fresh faces, Hackett added: “I will look at potential replacements if they are going to be as good as or better than the players that have left. We won’t bring in people for the sake of it."
