Boro – who remain bottom of the Northern Premier – had led at half-time through Charles, but Trinity looked to have taken all the points with two second-half strikes before the Welsh under-21 international struck again.

A quick response from Danny Glover handed Hednesford Town a point against St Ives Town in the Southern Central Premier, the Pitmen’s player-manager levelling just two minutes after his side had fallen behind in the 66th minute.

An early Montel Gibson goal was not enough as Halesowen Town missed the chance to return to the top of Southern Central One with a 3-1 defeat at Bedford Town, while Chasetown won 3-0 at Spalding United in Northern One South East thanks to Jimmy O’Neill, George Cater (two).

Meanwhile, midfielder Tom Tonks has left Stourbridge for Tamworth.
