A new division will be introduced at both steps for 2018/19, meaning step three of non-league will now home a central band of clubs from the east across to the west of Birmingham.

Current Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division clubs include Stourbridge, Halesowen Town, Hednesford Town and Rushall Olympic.

The quartet are expected to be included in the new central division, while a new map suggests Rangers will also make the cut, rather than be placed in the northern tier.

Vice-chairman Carol Bailey said: “We hope to be included in the central division. But it could rest on who is relegated from step two. Say if Telford or others more southern than us are relegated, we could be clumped up with the northern teams.”

Changes at step four, which features Chasetown, could see the Scholars facing teams from the south-west as part of the pyramid reshuffle.
