Buxton 1-1 Stafford Rangers - Report
A second half penalty saw Stafford Rangers pegged back at Buxton, the hosts claiming a point after Dan Westwood had given Rangers an early lead.
Westwood had an early effort cleared off the line before Richard Batchelor headed over from a corner, before the opener came on 14 minutes.
An attempted shot turned into a fine through ball for Westwood, who pounced to turn home from close range.
Rangers’ keeper Adam Whitehouse produced a brilliant save to protect the lead, whilst the hosts would go into half-time a man down as captain Ricky Ravenhill was sent-off for a tackle on Sam Griffiths.
The ten men would level on the hour however as Whitehouse brought down Jake Wilson in the box, Joe McGee making no mistake from the spot.
That would prove the last action of note as Rangers couldn’t make the most of their man advantage, unable to find a winner.
