Stafford Rangers boss Neil Kitching undaunted by Ashton United test
Stafford Rangers chief Neil Kitching has told his side not to be daunted by higher-placed Ashton United.
Due to the irregular pattern of results in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division, Kitching believes any outcome is more about performance on the day.
“It’s very up and down, there’s no pattern to this league,” said Kitching, whose side are 16th with visitors Ashton sixth.
“It’s all about how turn up and perform on the day.
“I can’t fault my lads and can’t since the Shaw Lane result (5-2 defeat three weeks ago). We’ve had two FA Cup games, wins against Nantwich and Grantham and a solid point against Mickleover.”
Kitching could give debuts to midfield duo Alex Fletcher and Niall Flint, who both arrived at Marston Road this week.
