Rangers out on penalties
Stafford Rangers suffered FA Trophy heartache after a dramatic penalty shoot-out that ended with Lincoln keeper Sam Vince netting the winner.
Jermaine Johnson skied his effort ensuring Vince's successful kick made it 5-4 after the game ended 1-1 after extra time.
Stafford had started the stronger against their league rivals and should have opened the scoring inside a lively opening 20 minutes.
Peter Till dragged a shot wide of the target on four minutes before striker Christian Dacres looped a header over Lincoln keeper only for his effort to be hooked clear from in front of goal. The visitors went closer still on 18 minutes when a long ball forward wasn't dealt with allowing Ben Haseley to gather but he hooked his shot just the wrong side of the post.
The breakthrough came 13 minutes from time. Boro's Jordan Lemon was brought down inside the area and Daniel Brooks blasted his penalty beyond Whitehouse's dive.
But the lead lasted just eight minutes before Matt Wood's low cross into the area was turned into his own net by Lincoln defender Kallum Smith before the game went to penalties.
