Stafford Rangers have the incentive of a trip to Stafford Town in the next round of the Walsall Senior Cup if they win at Wolverhampton Casuals.

Rangers asked to join the competition this season and head to Brinsford Lane to play Casuals, previous winners of the cup in 2002, in the first round.

The West Midlands League Premier Division hosts play three divisions below Rangers, but visiting manager Greg Clowes is sending a strong squad.

Adam Alcock returns in goal after missing Saturday's 2-1 Evo-Stik Northern Premier League defeat at Blyth Spartans through work commitments.

Winger Peter Heler - who was sent off in that game - will also play in a midfield that contains Christian Dacres, Sean Kinsella and Jon Sheldon on the left.

Dacres and Kinsella make their comebacks from long injury lay-offs and strikers Darren Alexander and Dean Oliver will also be looking to boost their match fitness.

Midfielder Levi Reid is using tomorrow night's fixture to serve a one-match suspension while Luke George, Karl Espley and Alex Forde are all out injured.

Clowes said: "We will be sending a strong side, this is a competition we want to do well in, because a cup tie means something as a match.

"We are not stupid enough to think we are going to go there and steamroll them over, either, I know they will be ready.

"I asked the club to put us in for this because it's competitive games that the players need, rather than a friendly somewhere.

"I would rather be going to Wolverhampton tomorrow night than to training, it's a no-brainer as far as I am concerned."
