Dean Oliver set for Rangers debut
Stafford Rangers' new signing Dean Oliver could make his debut from the bench in the visit of league leaders North Ferriby.
Oliver joined on Monday from Gresley but was carrying a slight groin strain and watched Tuesday night's 2-1 win at home to Ilkeston from the stands.
The striker is now fit enough to grace the Marston Road turf on Saturday but may be kept out by current attacking duo Danny Quinn and Simon Everall.
Quinn got the goal in last weekend's 2-1 defeat at Frickley Athletic while Everall got both against Ilkeston to take their tallies to five and seven respectively.
Winger Jon Sheldon should return after a slight hamstring strain saw him miss the Ilkeston game, with left-back Ryan Brown also back after six games out.
Brown's groin problem has cleared but he will be on the bench due to the form of Oliver Davies, 18, who has shone since coming in for his Rangers debut.
Goalkeeper Danny Read and midfielder Christian Dacres are still injured while Karl Espley is suspended, the defender serving the second match of a two-game ban.
Rangers manager Greg Clowes has been impressed with the visitors' rise to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League summit, so has put his side on red alert.
He said: "North Ferriby are top of the league and they deserve to be, they have certainly got some very good players in their side.
"They have also got what I call 'no-nonsense' defenders, who don't pass it from the back or straight to the goalkeeper.
"They defend and then put you under pressure and we have got to do more of that."
