Stafford Rangers won't risk rushing back Luke George from injury at Frickley Athletic due to the impending suspension of Karl Espley.

With defender Espley banned for two games from Saturday, George will not be involved in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League fixture in Yorkshire.

Midfielder Christian Dacres is another who won't travel with the squad, but he will also miss Tuesday's home game against Ilkeston after a knee injury.

George is more ready to return after his own knee problem but has missed five games and, after a problematic recovery, will be wrapped in cotton wool.

Ryan Brown will be treated with kid gloves and left on the sidelines for the next two matches after a groin strain, with Oliver Davies excelling at left-back.

Goalkeeper Jordon Wood will be on the bench at Frickley with second-choice Danny Read nursing a hamstring injury and Rangers are targeting a win.

Manager Greg Clowes has seen his side draw six of their nine league games so far, the latest a 1-1 draw against West Midlands rivals Rushall Olympic.

Clowes said: "What I am looking for is three points tomorrow, simple as, and if we start putting our chances away we will get them.

"If we carry on what we are doing and keep drawing our games all of the time, there's a chance we could be relegated.

"I have still got quite a lot of time on my side to get us winning games but Frickley are a competitive side to play.

"They play to their strengths, they get balls into the box and make you defend, it will be much like the last game we played.

"That's what Rushall did to us and they are not challenging at the top of the league by not doing things right."
