The winger is a free agent after his summer release from Blue Square North club Gainsborough Trinity but hasn't signed as yet.
Instead, Rangers boss Greg Clowes will run the rule over the 28-year-old tonight, who was born and bred in Stafford and lives in the town.
The former Port Vale, Macclesfield and Oxford wide man was previously at Marston Road between 2005 and 2007 and 2009 to 2011.
