Stafford Rangers may have to rush back Jimmy Turner to solve a central defensive crisis for the visit of FC United of Manchester to Marston Road.
Stafford Rangers may have to rush back Jimmy Turner to solve a central defensive crisis for the visit of FC United of Manchester to Marston Road.
Turner has missed three games with a groin strain but is needed tomorrow, with Karl Espley suspended for one game and Ryan Dicker struggling.
Dicker's dead leg will be subject to a late fitness test before a decision will be made on who will partner Liam Walshe, with Turner a right-back.
That spot was occupied by Liam George in Saturday's 2-1 win at Worksop but he went off with a shin injury, so is another doubt for the United game.
But striker Simon Everall will be passed fit after missing Saturday's game with a heel problem and should renew his partnership with Danny Quinn.
Rangers boss Greg Clowes' first competitive game in charge came at home to United on the opening day of last season, where the Reds won 3-0.
But the visitors lost their first Evo-Stik Northern Premier League match against Nantwich on Saturday and Clowes wants to heighten their gloom.
He said: "They have just had their first defeat of the season and maybe there's a bit of pressure on them, but they will come to win.
"They have got goals running straight through their team and, if you stand off them, they are going to hurt you.
"We have got to be careful and, if we get amomgst them, we have got a chance. We know what we have got to do."
