Stafford Rangers striker Danny Quinn has been ruled out of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League trip to Grantham with a groin injury.

Quinn got through the full 90 minutes of Saturday's 1-0 win at home to Matlock and will be back for the weekend FA Cup trip to Stourport Swifts.

With new signing Liam Newman not yet fit and Chris Morris leaving for Romulus, Rangers are likely to revert to 4-5-1 and add another midfielder.

Captain Lee Downes is available after missing the Matlock game as his his wife had just given birth, while midfield cohort Kevin Street is also back.

Ryan Dicker is also on the sidelines with another groin problem, with Alex Forde filling in at right-back and Liam George moving into the centre.

Rangers boss Greg Clowes saw his side pick up their first three points on Saturday but still called it their "worst performance of the season."

Grantham beat Clowes' men 1-0 at Marston Road in their first home game of the campaign two weeks ago, so they face a familiar foe tomorrow.

Clowes said: "Saturday was our worst performance of the season but that is how football works.

"What we need to do now is stay in touch with that sixth-placed team, which is Grantham and we play them tonight.

"If we can go over there and win, we would be level on points with them, and we already know what they are about.

"I was impressed, they have a physical presence but I am not going to get drawn into thinking that's all they have.

"However, they play in a certain way and they won't change."
