Stafford Rangers striker Simon Everall will miss the next three pre-season games starting at Heath Hayes after going away on his summer holiday.

The former Nantwich frontman signed non-contract forms at the start of the month and scored four goals on his debut in a friendly at Rocester.

Everall played the first-half of last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Tamworth but misses the trip tomorrow and Saturday's visit of Kidderminster Harriers.

Next Tuesday's visit to Alsager will also go on without Everall but first comes Midland Alliance opposition at the Coppice Colliery Ground.

Trialist Oliver Davies could be given a chance to impress on the right wing with another wide man looking to earn a deal, Grant Jeffries, on the left.

Another trialist, Ashley Edwards, is also set to feature although regular right-back Jimmy Turner is available again and will play some part.

Chris Morris, Michael Carr, Danny Quinn, Kevin Street, Karl Espley and Ryan Dicker will also be involved ahead of Saturday's game.

Rangers boss Greg Clowes said: "I want a good performance at Heath Hayes and against Kidderminster, I want to be happy afterwards.

"Tomorrow night does give me a chance to do other things, as I wanted to look at a few lads at Stone but the game was called off.

"This side may be at Step Five but they are decent and we, potentially, will face a team from the same level in the FA Cup.

"This may only be a friendly but I need the players to realise that, whoever we play, they are going to want to turn us over."

Clowes' men have added Football League opposition to their pre-season programme with the visit of Port Vale to Marston Road.

League Two side Vale are the visitors on Wednesday August 1 and come for the second summer in a row, winning 6-2 last time.

Rangers will still fulfil their fixture at North West Counties Premier Division outfit Norton United the night before as planned.
